About us

Queen’s Park Day is a large, popular, free community event held in Queen’s Park each September.  There are arena events, music on the bandstand, fancy dress and other competitions and stalls.  It has been organised annually by the Queen’s Park Area Residents’ Association for over 20 years. A group of volunteers do the advance planning and many more volunteers are involved on the day to make sure everything runs smoothly. The City of London who own and manage the park give us permission to run Queen’s Park Day and the park staff give invaluable help both beforehand and on the day itself.  We do not aim to make a profit from the day, but simply to cover our costs which are largely met from a mixture of grant funding, sponsorship and stall fees.  Grant funding looks doubtful for 2010.  To help make up the shortfall we are going to slightly increase the stall fees.  They will still be very reasonable!
