Competitions in 2010
Children’s Fancy Dress, Dog Show, Baking (this year a carrot cake), Decorate a Broom and Edible Monster competitions.
- Children’s Fancy Dress Registration at the bandstand 12.30pm. Prizes kindly provided by Queen’s Park Books.

Queen’s Park Vets’ Dog Show including 3-legged race, dog handling and dog fancy dress. Register in advance at Queen’s Park Vets, Lonsdale Road or at Allpets Veterinary clinic, 7 Sidmouth Parade, or at the arena on the day. Registration in advance only for 7-legged race. Dog show starts at 12 o’clock sharp.

Children’s edible monster competition. Two classes- under and over 7 years. Children’s own work please! Please bring your monsters to the Qpara tent (near the cafe) by 1pm. Prizes generously provided by Ted’s Veg and Perry Court Farm, regulars at the Queen’s Park Farmers’ Market. See an edible monster .

Carrot Cake competition Cakes to the Qpara tent (near the café) by 1pm. Judging by Sophie Grey of Crazy Baker, Harrow Road. Prizes sponsored by David Emmett, egg seller at the Sunday Queen’s Park Farmers’ Market. Last year local bakers excelled themselves with their entries of lemon drizzle cakes and we’re hoping for even more cakes this year!

FAMILY COMPETITION- Decorate a brush/broom! Your inspiration could be a family member, fictional or TV character, whoever you like! Get the whole family involved and bring your brilliant brush person to the Qpara tent by 1pm. Your family might sweep away a prize. Prizes kindly provided by Handpicked Shellfish Company, the regular fish stall at the Farmers’ Market.
